Make Green Tuesday Moves with us this World Environment Day!

We're thrilled that our first Green Tuesday is live today, with a host of studios making special items available within their games that will make an important real-world impact in the fight against climate change.

It's all part of our Make Green Tuesday Moves (MGTM) initiative, which will see 100% of proceeds from the sale of those items invested into fully certified sustainability projects around the world.

Who’s ready for an extraordinary week of gaming, where your passion meets sustainability?

Among the great games supporting MGTM are Subway Surfers, Avakin Life, Fishing Clash, Pine Hearts and Nitro Nation.

Join us and our incredible allies dedicated to fighting for a greener future.

And be sure to check out the PlanetPlay Marketplace too: Buy any listed title using the 'WLDENVDAY' discount code and you'll be entered into our June 11th prize draw to win a free game!

We chose WLDENVDAY because the first Green Tuesday comes on the eve of World Environment Day tomorrow, June 5th, so it's fitting that game makers and millions of players worldwide will be coming together in the digital realm to inspire tangible environmental action.

Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1973, World Environment Day is the largest international event focused on the environment, coordinated by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). The theme for 2024 is ‘Our Land, Our Future’, highlighting the importance of restoring land, combating desertification, and enhancing resilience to drought.

MGTM and World Environment Day comes as new research from Deloitte highlights just how important sustainability is in the eyes of Gen Z and Millennial consumers in the UK when it comes to work and lifestyle.

The majority (62% of Gen Z and 60% of Millennials) have pressured their employer to take climate action, with many researching companies’ environmental impact or changing jobs due to environmental concerns.

The survey also found that they take climate action as consumers too; nearly a quarter of UK Gen Zs and Millennials (24% and 23%) have stopped or reduced their use of a business’ products or services if they feel they negatively impact the environment.

Together we can make a real difference. Let's keep making green moves every first Tuesday of the month, cultivating a sustainable gaming community and a greener planet.
