As we get ready for our panel at London Games Festival’s New Games Plus programme – From Play to Impact: Gaming as a Force for Environmental Change – we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible people behind the discussion.
On 3rd April, PlanetPlay CEO Rhea Loucas will take the stage to explore this question as part of an inspiring session that brings together leaders from games, tech and entertainment, who are each helping redefine how play can contribute to planetary progress.
Meet the Panel
🎤 Briana Evigan, Actress, Green Advocate and Founder of Abundant Village
Briana Evigan is an accomplished actress, producer, dancer, and singer with over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Recognized globally for her breakthrough role as Andie West in the Step Up series, Briana has established herself as a versatile performer and Scream Queen, starring in major films such as Sorority Row (2009), Burning Bright (2010), Mother’s Day (2010), and The Devil’s Carnival (2012). Her work spans major studios and networks including Netflix, Lionsgate, Summit Entertainment, Disney, and the Rodriguez/Tarantino team.
Tristan has been designing games for over 18 years, going from a tiny team working out of his bedroom to helping found King’s London studio and leading the design of their hit Farm Heroes Saga. In 2017 Tristan co-founded Trailmix Games, created to deliver casual mobile games that were both snackable and nourishing, with a goal of giving back to their players and the wider world. Trailmix’s first game, Love & Pies, has been delighting players with its cozy telenovela storyline and green activations since 2021.
Robbie is a Partnerships Manager with the Google Play Apps & Games team in Western Europe. Before Google Play, he worked with Google in Shanghai on international growth consulting. His experience prior to Google was in healthcare digital product and marketing, focusing on digital telehealth solutions. Robbie has an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Politics. He is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin and passionate about international business and communications. Robbie is passionate about gaming and its meaningful impact, including Diversity and Inclusion and Sustainability in gaming.
🌍 Rhea Loucas, CEO & Founder of PlanetPlay
PlanetPlay Founder & CEO Rhea Loucas has driven significant progress towards the video games industry’s sustainability via the company’s primary mission: to be a disruptive NPO, harnessing the power of 3+ billion players within a $227 billion industry to effect change. She has achieved this through high-impact initiatives, including the Make Green Moves campaign in partnership with best studios, games and biggest superstars in the world, and the Play2Act global gamer survey, in partnership with the UN Development Programme.
🗣️ Moderator: Wayne Emanuel, Videogame Strategy & Business Development Consultant
Wayne is a highly accomplished Growth & BizDev Consultant & leader with over 14+ years of experience in the gaming industry, specialising in business development and forging impactful partnerships. He worked at King and Rovio, where he drove income via media & brand partnerships and then built the gaming team, proposition & strategy at the NGO War Child UK. More recently he led partnerships within the gaming content team at TikTok on a global scale for 4+ years.
